Food safety has always been important to us and we were pleased to have been awarded the maximum rating of 5 Stars for food hygiene practices in the “Scores on Doors” initiative which was introduced in Northamptonshire in 2007. 

The idea was successfully launched elsewhere in the World including New York City.  People in need of a caterer or restaurant etc can now make advance enquiries in order to check the star rating before making a booking. In parallel with this achievement our Food Packaging Division has been awarded the prestigious Oval Health Mark. This has led to us supplying supermarket chains all around the country with our “Cloverdale” packaged food products.  It also allows us to export abroad.  The very robust food safety procedures required for the Oval Health Mark make it rank higher than the 5-Star Award.  It is rare amongst outside caterers being more commonly associated with very large food producing factories.

We also have a keen interest in offering healthy options in our menus and have virtually eliminated frying as a food preparation method.  We have had considerable past experience in dealing with special diets which are now, quiet often, prescribed on medical grounds.  It is our standard practice to obtain the ‘Heartbeat Award’ for our outside catering food production unit and also for each of the other catering outlets that we have.  This means that we hold up to 6 such awards at any one time.  The criteria for this award includes good standards of hygiene and healthy food choices which we are easily able to fulfil.
